Ron Villone to DL, Brian Bruney called up
Why, exactly, was Bruney called up? All Bruney proved with us was that he had consistent trouble throwing strikes with his 30 walks in 42.1 innings, and since being sent down he has allowed 4 ER on 5 hits in 6 innings with Scranton Wilkes-Barre, while walking 2. Meanwhile, Chris Britton continues to dominate AAA ball, earning him all of 5 major league innings this season.

Britton pitched 3 shutout innings on August 21st, so his arm is rested and he should be ready to pitch today. If Joe Torre was involved in this decision making process then you can be almost certain that he wanted Bruney not Britton. This guy continues to dominate at AAA but the yankees want nothing to do with him.
Strange...
Joe Torre hates fat people, thats why Bruney was called up. Wait..
